Austin Andonisio

Head Coach

Boys Varsity Baseball

Austin Andonisio enters his first year as Susquenita's head baseball coach in 2023-24. 

Andonisio previously served as assistant varsity coach with the Blackhawks, after completing his playing career at Chatham University. Andonisio transitioned from the mound to the bench in 2022 taking over the duties of pitching coach for the Blackhawks. The righthander had significant success for the Cougars from 2017-21 winning 8 games over the span of 134 innings. He currently holds the records for career wins, strikeouts with 87, and complete games. Andonisio earned All-PAC Second Team in 2021 starting eight games and finished with a 5-2 record, setting a new single-season record for wins.

As a mentor to the Hawks pitcher's, Andonisio's most recent staff in 2023 was third in runs allowed at 75 and helped multiple players lead the Tri-Valley league in wins and league leader in lowest ERA. The Blackhawks secured a spot in the Tri-Valley playoffs after finishing the season 11-10 overall. 

Andonisio earned his bachelor's degree in History and secondary teaching certificate from Chatham University in the spring of 2021. He currently serves as the 8th grade Social Studies at Susquenita Middle School while also pursuing his masters at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for Educational Leadership.
